New Fletching Jig

Man I'm cheap. I refused to come up with the measly $20 for a jig of my own for after graduation (I'm using my brother's) so I went and made this. On the up side it works. On the downside I have to come up with a small spring clamp of my own anyway.

I'm both proud and ashamed of myself. Mostly ashamed

Be proud!!!  This is the way our archery forefathers did it...with what they had to work with.

Thanks everyone! Despite my normally lazy personaility, this thing works pretty well compared to a "real" jig. Not perfect, but neither is my brother's store bought "real" jig .

Real nice looking Jig mate!
Im thinking of doing something along the same lines.

That top rail you use to pin the clamp in place, do you think it would be possible to mount a pivoting bolt on on end of it to allow for offest? then maybe secure the adjusting (loose) end with a nail or pin that could be set into predrilled positions at the knock end of the jig to lock it iall into place?
