Set Back Handled Bamboo bow
Earl:
Yep, just 2 pieces of boo. Heat treating and thickness of the boo contributed to the weight. I think when i started the slabs were 3/8 thick each.
Pat B:
One more question, if you don't mind...Are your boo components parrallel or tapered and are you tillering from the sides or do you pretiller each component first?...anyway, an excellant bow! Looking forward to seeing more or your(ya'lls) work. Pat
OldBow:
Looks like a you are up to real challenges with this one. Very nice and bookmarked for Backed Bow of the Month for April
Earl:
Pat, The bamboo are non-tapered bamboo slabs. What i do is draw each one out, cut them out, glue them, then i tiller from the belly.
AndrewS:
A fine bamboo bow and it reminds me to move my ass building a bobo-bow ;)
