preparing sturgeon skins
venisonburger:
Now I've heard two stories about using a pressure washer, one for bark and one for sturgeon skins, you know what that means, guess I have to go to home depot and get a pressure washer, I'm telling my wife that you guys said I needed one.

VB, use it to wash HER CAR and she will never question your buying it. ;D Just wait a week to use it for bows or she will be on to you. Justin

hehehehehe ;D
All our wives probably have their own forum site to discuss and share tips for controlling husbands. ;D

Funny it's now two years later today when this topic was first discussed and I was enjoying reading on the sturgeon bow backing. I grew up on the St Clair River.. Lots of huge sturgeon in that river.. when lo and behold I stumble across another use for a pressure washer that I hadn't a clue about. Here I was all worried about my second post earlier today and I had mentioned using the power washer to flesh the skinned beaver tails! I was pretty worried about getting kicked off a site that has the word primitive in it.. thank God I feel so much better now and also I would really like to comment on how fascinating it is that this guy in this thread 'Keenan' shared his use of the sturgeon skins so freely with others. Great..just great to be amongst folks that are so kind!

It's cool you brought this back up, Paulette. Good info. You will find that most folks here on PA will share their knowledge. They were all on the receiving end not long ago. ;)
