My buddy Steve got this 7 ptr this morning with his homemade bow. I had to settle for a squirrel. I'm off for 3 days camping alone and hunting tomorrow.

Meat in the pot is meat in the pot. Just not as much as what is in your buddy's pot......
Good luck on your three days excursion.

I'm sure your buddy will share the contents of his pot with you when you finish up that squirrel!
Congrats to both of you!

Its a beautiful bow, just wanted to be sure it wasn't glass, Selfbow don't mean you made it
yourself.
Very nice bow and nice deer to boot, just wanted to be sure it was in the proper spot on the board. Hated to ask but O well.

Now that I'm not sure of, I think it was made by a friend but I don't know all details for sure. I just remember Osage and then something else was on the handle.

Pappy - I didn't call it a "selfbow" for a reason
It's a homemade bow. His good friend cut a Virginia osage and I think Virginia cherry and made it. It was his first bow ever and Steve shoots it well. I just got back from three days in the woods. I'll post pics and story later.
Thanks fellas. We've had a great time hunting up here. Leaves are beginning to change and the rut is only about 4 weeks out.
