Black Locust bow pics

66" Black Locust bow. 60@28. 1 3/4 wide to 5/16" tips. Stave had side to side sway and slight propellor twist.
Weighs in at 21.4 oz.

Rattan for the handle wrap.  The kind used for chair caning.  You soak it in warm water until it is pliable , wrap, tucking under each end, let dry, and add a finish.

I'd really like to try that handle wrap.  That is a really excellent bow - I bet that shoots very well and will last a long time.  Tremendous job!

Smart looking bow. Made lots of black locust, makes a beautiful bow. May I ask where did ya get the rattan. I am old fashion and like the rattan handles. Denny

That's a beauty for sure and like everybody else - look at that tiller! I'm working in central IL and surrounded by black locust, will procure a few staves before I leave..
When you come upon a track or trail you do not know, follow it to the point of knowing.
