what a blast today was
« on: October 19, 2010, 05:44:29 pm »
hope this is the place for this ... i got invited to do a demo for second grade classes today spent 3 hours with the kids going over knapping, arrow making ,cutting and scraping staves and got to show them about 17 bows. we finished with each child getting to shoot 6 arrows at two stations . this was the best day i've had with Primitive Archery since i started.

dude... that's really awesome!   :)  Great job passing it on.  They all look like they are enjoying it too.  Lots of future bowyers there.  :)

That's a great thing you are doing, Ken. It makes me feel good to know the people I've met on this site. And you are for sure one of them. I love seeing the expressions on little ones faces when showing them the things we do. Thanks for helping to pass it on.

That's tremendous, I got to do something similar about 6 months ago for an afterschool center at the Seminole reservation.  I had a blast.  Great stuff!
