nocking point
venisonburger:
lol, mullet, I can picture primitive people with a pack of cinnamon dental floss cleaning out their teeth after eating a buffalo. Haaaa!
Sorry, I got carried away.
mullet:
Uhh.. you did mean floss from buffalo sinew ?
Pat B:
I use Dacron strings and brass clamp on nock point. I do try to remove any burs in the brass with a file after clamping. On some bows I don't use a nock point. Just go by feel. Pat

Billmac,
Even if using three fingers under the arrow can go nder the nock point if the position of the nock point is correct. This works well as the arrow is supported by the bow hand knuckle and exerts upward pressure against the nocking point keeping it in place.
In my opinion whether the string is dacron or not doesn't matter. Once the string is stretched in and fts well with correct brace height then you can use any nock point you want. I know a very good archer who scores very well without any nock point at all!
Justin Snyder:
I quit using the brass nocking point because it was chewing up my glove. I use a piece of dacron wrapped around the string, or duct tape. ;D Justin
