Nice bow, looks like you got the levers doing their job with out the excessive mass I see on most holmies. How about more dimentions like limb width and lever and tip width. Thanks for sharing.        Kenneth

Thanks guys ! Kenneth don't remember all the measurements, i don't do much measuring i just start caerving and see what happens  :D
The working limbs are around 2" wide the levers are about 1/2' wide same thickness.

This is a really nice, primitive looking bow. It looks like you have some bend in the levers - did you intend for that? I've always heard the levers weren't supposed to bend. Not saying they shouldn't bend, it's just the norm typically that they don't. Either way I really like this bow and would love to make one like it.

I'll tell ya what though John, I like it better this way than if they didn't bend. This is really a nice looking bow and I bet it's a sweet shooter. Makes me want to try a black walnut but I don't think I'd ever convince anybody to let me cut one.  Did you chase a ring on this? It looks like it's all heartwood, is that right?

CP, It's a sweet shooter very light in the hand for the amount of wood there is in this bow.
I was lucky to get the butt end log off a tree my brothers neighbor cut down in the city of Milwaukee, there was a thread about the tree a year and a half ago, i'll see if i can find it. any ways this bow is mostly sap wood i have some nice heart wood staves i need to get after soon. I'll try and get some pics of the handle up to show you the contrast  :)
