the string is b-50 dacron with acrylic yarn silencers that make the string absolutely silent shot 2 deer with it this year both good size does one complete pass through and one hit the far shoulder and broke a poc arrow now my set is one short. starting  to shoot cane though seems to hit harder and easier to replace. if lost or broken.

Only one arrow missing from your set?  In my world that means I haven't been able to get out to shoot at all, heck I break one just trying to get the set straightened before fletching!!!!

Good work feeding yourself with your own equipment, feels pretty good huh?

jw only one broke was my hunting arrow that went into the deer. i have about 60 non finsished wood arrows i shoot and i do break alot of them hitting trees and unseen rocks didn't want tto paint pretty practice arrows if i plan on shooting just about anything with them.

I know where you are coming from.  My first set of 12 matching arrows lasted quite a long time.  I was too afraid to break up the set.  I had mismatched arrows and "orphan" arrows from other people for everyday shooting.  Eventually I determined that all arrows are gonna break if I don't lose 'em first, might as well shoot 'em. 

I try to save the last one of every set I build so I can remember the fun I had with each bunch.  It also shows how I have changed what I thought was cool or what I thought was the best design for my style of shooting.  (First set was 825 grain ash for a 43# ash bow.  Later came the 420 grain for a 52# bow.  Hows that for extremes? )
