Not another Yew ELB

My latest 71.5" ntn.
60# @28"
70#@31"
Here it is at 31", it shows how bendy Yew is even in an ELB design. No much set either.


It's not for BOM it's as classy as the last one, the wood is much paler yet the two bows came from trees within a few hundred yards of eachother. This is still very nice wood though.

Thanks, but it aint got fancy silver rivets and a wavy heart/sap boundary...
But I'll still be sad to hand it over to it's new owner on Saturday. Mind it's given me a good feel of the draw weight I can handle these days.

Lovely longbow there and the full draw is going into my collection of "what a tiller should look like" shots for future reference.

Its always sad when they leave home isnt it :)

Del, that is a sweet looking bow no matter how you look at it. My favorite style of bow and you nailed the tiller.  Btw here in the NW if you wear sandals in winter you need to wear socks(wool preferably) ;D

Perfect arc of the circle tiller! I can see the whole circle looking at your full draw photo. Reminds me of the Thompson quote about the sliver of the new moon.

Del  you did that piece of Yew justice in that bow. I just got to work with Yew a couple of times but it is truly amazing bow wood. Thanks for sharing.

Every time I see one of your yew darlings at full draw I want to cry like a baby.  My climate is far too dry for a yew longbow to survive long, but it doesn't change how badly I want one...especially one of yours, Del.

Beautiful bow and great Tiller, Del. I don't know about the NW, but if you wear sandals here and you have socks on, it's a dead give away you're a Tourist. ;)
