Here's a bow I just finished up for a trade for a bow bench. I tried to emulate a Howard Hill style bow so I kept it narrow with a fairly deep handle. The bow is from a couple spliced hickory billets, red oak handle, cypress arrowpass, and black walnut overlays with a cotton string handle wrap. Its 68" ntn, 10" handle, 1.25" wide to mid limb and a straight taper to 3/8" nocks. About 45#@ 28" and about 1.5" of unbraced set. I was pretty happy with how this bow came out till I saw the full draw pic, which is always super critical. Looked even when I tillered it but I think it's being too much about 5 or 6" above the handle. Even so the bow is still a hard hitter and I enjoyed making it.
