cabin pics (now living in it)
« on: March 17, 2011, 12:51:44 am »
ok obviously its far from done, but we are living in the cabin now, totally off grid, solar electricity, homemade composting toilet..blah blah blah..lol  well anyways here is what we have on the addition so far to the old 1 room original cabin.  we just cut the old back window out and made a doorway to my new cabin addition.  this summer is going to be spent building the rest of the cabin hopefully getting it all done before september 1st!  not sure about flooring yet, just osb plywood for now to get us by.   bless my wife for living in a 1 room cabin with an outhouse and no shower for the last 2 weeks (just bucket baths)   but now we have the shower up and kitchen built.  shower isnt finished but certainly capable of use.

Beautiful new home Ryan.  It must be a good feeling too, knowing you made it with your own two hands.

You're livin' the dream man, nice work!  And ya, you've got a special lady there to put up with using an outhouse and bucket baths :)  Lucky dog!

That's just flat out awesome.  Your family now has a beautiful home, and something that will be remembered for generations.

I could only dream of something like that...

It's coming together very nicely.  Will this be your full time, permanent home for the future?
