HOLY MOLY!
« on: April 11, 2011, 03:43:12 am »
I've been milling around here without posting for a while but I figured I would introduce myself and throw up a bow I just finished.  43# @ 28" but I tillered it out to 30" because I can overdraw with the best of them.  Bought this stave at OJAM and messed around with it a bit there and finished it up this past week.  I think I like the way it shoots off my hand so I'll forgo a handle I might steal DVSHunter's tanning bed idea for putting the name on the bow.  It has whitetail antler tips and the tip of the holy limb was relexed to match the natural reflex of the opposing limb.  Biggest hole I've seen in a character bow (granted I've not seen many).  Got the name HOLY MOLY when a guy walked by at OJAM and said it.  I'll take it.  Thanks for looking.

goose- that turned out great. Very cool bow.  The tanning idea is working super well. I'll have that bow at the classic before I send it off. Congratulations on your bow.

Now that's taking something that most would throw away and building a nice bow out of. excellent job Goose.

Forgot to add it is 64" ntn and brace height is 7".  With a little one on the way within the next couple of weeks the classic isn't in the wife's agenda for me.  DVS I won't be there to see the finished product of your trade bow but I do hope you post up the results!  Thanks for the kudos everyone.
