Ive made some homemade judos w/ .357 cases on 11/32 shafts with finishing nails for arms, id then put the empty case and pieces of nail in my reloading scale and snip bits of lead into the pan till it weighed 125 grains then glued the whole works on w/ the lead inside the case, they work but as someone else said they bend and you are constantly straightening the nails. Ive got a new idea on the drawing board tho. There was an article a while back in Backwoodsman by a fella that made grouse arrows by drilling holes in regular field points and I think he soldered, or glued in pieces of spring wire or piano wire into the holes. Sounded real slick. He got the piano wire from a hobby store that caters to model airplane builders. Apparently they use it for the wings or landing gear or some such. I'm gonna make some up soon with glue on blunts and I'll post how they work out.
