Got a long skinny package today!

I got a message this morning from Darcy (DEllis) to watch out for package.  When I came home from lunch I had a notice in the mailbox that there was a parcel to pickup.  I was expecting a few things to be coming so I wasn't sure what it was.  When I went to pick it up, I saw the girl bring out a long tube, and I'm sure my eyes got really big.  The first words out of her mouth were "It was like this when we got it".  That's when I got a bit scared.  This is what condition the tube was in:


So I nervously drove the 3 minute drive home and rushed in to inspect it.  To my relief, everything was intact, without a scratch!  After admiring Darcy's work for several minutes, I couldn't fight the urge to go out to the backyard and string her up.  This is the first hickory bow I've shot, and I was pleasantly surprised with it's performance.  I put about 70 arrows through it before taking a break for a photo-op while my girlfriend was still home.  He also made a nice fleece sleeve and string keeper for it.

 Thanks so much Darcy, this thing's beautiful, my pictures don't begin to do it justice.  I love it!!

Very nice.  You are lucky the bow wasn't broke by the looks of that package.

nothing like a good piece of hickory...

Glad it wasn't broken.  That would have been horrible after all the hard work Darcy put into that.

Yikes, that first picture had me sweating :o
Glad it was still intact. PVC pipe shipping tubes from now on........Canada post must have been in a hurry and just kicked it out of the truck on the way by the post office :-\
I hope it gives you many years of service. I shot it a lot, but not off that side of the bow, so I hope I didn't break it in backwards for ya ;D

Wow that bow is really nice....I like everything about it. Is that a wrap above and below the grip in the fade area or is that painted????...Whatever it is I really like it!!! Great job Darcy
