i wish the 6v batteries had that kinda stopping power.  that danged ol bear cost me about 6 feederheafs and 300lb of corn that year.  never even touched the corn, just left it on the ground to mould

    Yep, they can definitely tear up a feeder, A friend of mine had one tore up by a bear.  It is odd what they will do sometimes, and you would think that they would eat the corn, but no, just run off with the head.   Hmmmm, I wonder if it was trained for that.....    could be a PETA bear.....
