Hello from a Noob

Hello. I'm Keb from south Ohio. I'm new to the site but not primitive archery or shooting sports. I've been doing black powder shooting & primitive archery since the mid 80's. I have been making arrows from purchased cedar shafts for years but recently discovered river cane & viburnum. The hollow shafts take screw in field points nicely. I also make target points from some nails as in the picture (if it works). I attend most of the national rondyvoos sponsored by the NMLRA, or most recently, NRLHF. I always have some bows made by Salvo (some may remember him) to sell but when they're gone, they're gone. I also carry hickory & osage staves with me. (Not trying to sell them here. Just giving some information about myself.)

Steve, I'm in northern Michigan now & headed to Palistine, Ill. in a few weeks for the Midwest Primitive rondyvoo (black powder stuff). Then planning to go to Piqua labor day weekend. You should be near there, I think.

They have a heritage festival over labor day weekend. Not sure how many different eras but they have what they call a mountain man camp which is 1740 -1840ish. Lotsa people & lotsa vendors. good sales I'm told. this'll be my 1st.
