My first hunt.
« on: August 02, 2011, 05:56:33 pm »
Here are a few pictures from the trip.
As much as I wanted to make my shot with my bow, it wasn't meant to be this time.
I'd like to express my thanks to Chris, Steve, Tim, Gary, and especially Eddie.
I wouldn't have had the experience I did without you and the memory of the experience will be one I'll never forget.  It's given me a new perspective.

I'm glad you had fun, I did. After I walked away and heard you shoot less than five minutes later I new a plan had come together. I'm really happy you took the .300 and got your first hog. As much as I wanted to stick one with my new bow it was going to be real hard to get that close to one when they were coming out right at dark. Hab a lot of fun and looking forward to the next one.

kinda hard not to have a blast at tim's place.  even the time or two i didn't kill anything, which was my fault, i still had a blast.  tha accomodation alone make the trip worth while.

Chris is right. This was the first time I stayed in the Bunkhouse and it was great. Tim told me he had stayed in a lot of crappy places hunting all over the world, and I know a few he was talking about, and he was going to build a nice, clean and comfortable place for his guest to stay in. And he did, Hillbilly and I could sit on the patio, late into the night sipping, watching the stars, and just chillin', without waking everybody else up. :)

Glad you got to come up, enjoyed meeting and getting to hunt with you. It's always a good time down at Tim's place. I also enjoy the south Georgia scenery, flora and fauna-it's a whole different atmosphere from the mountains where I'm used to hunting. You don't see many ibises, alligators, gopher tortoises, armadillos, palmettos, or swallow-tailed kites up here when you're hunting. :) That was a nice hog you got.
