My Office and a few points
« on: September 08, 2011, 01:55:23 pm »
Ok - These may get posted in a couple of messages. I will set up to get a pic of me at some point. This is the museum space I demonstrate in and a few pieces from the last two weeks in the  museum. Still not a fan of slab material getting rid of all of the cut or polished surface is my goal at some point in time.

cool work space ben, it would bug the crap outta me haveing people watch me, that's when i make all my screw ups, on slabs i just try and angle to get all the way across, that way i get half wat to 3/4 across, not that i'm the guy to tell anyone about knapping ;), Bub

I'm not a slab knapper (sounds dirty :o), but Ive been playing a lot with glass this week. One thing Ive noticed is shallow bites with the pressure flaker work beautifully. Maybe about the width of a pencil lead in a wooden pencil is where I apply the pressure. I'm having trouble making sure I dont overshoot them when it get's below 1" wide.
