Winged Elm bow.

Finely got My Winged Elm finished.It turned out a sweet shooter,not sure why.I bent a little reflex/deflex in it and flipped the tips a little more that usuall so that
may be why.All I know it is smooth,quick and quite. 53@26  63 n-n deer horn overlays, walnut stain and backed with Air. :) :)

That thing sure does have some nice curves.  Looks like it would be a fun bow to shoot.

Nice one Pappy. Looks like a few bows got their birth at Twin Oaks this month. :)

Very nice Pappy. Ain't that elm some good bow wood. I was pleasantly surprised last winter with the 60" recurve I built!

Beautiful bow Pappy.  I guess I'm gonna have to give elm a try.  I traded for 2 pretty elm staves but haven't ever made a bow of elm.  Both yours and Pat's are sweet!

Love the braced shot! whole bow is sweet. very nice work on putting the bends into it.

Thanks Guys, Yes George this was my first and I was very pleasantly surprised
with the wood,very snappy  ,you do have to keep it dry while you are making the bow and seal it good afterwards but if you do that is is great bow wood. I put 8 coats of tru oil and 2 coats of satin Polly on this one and kept it in the hot box in between workings.  :) :)
