Another knife sheath
« on: January 23, 2012, 01:54:19 pm »
Here are a few pictures of a sheath I made for a friend.  His dad had the knife custom made years ago, and then handed it down to him.  I tried to imitate the engraving on the knife's bolster into the tooling on the sheath.

Man You amaze me with all your leather work.  I also do some leather but hate carving, and skiving.  If I make somrthing it is pretty plain normally I have done a few thing that got prettied up.
I call a lot of people brother, but only count a few as family.

Very cool, you do some great leather work.
You skin that smoke wagon and we'll see what happens!---Are you gonna do something? Or just stand there and bleed?

Thanks for all of your feedback, I appreciate it.

I wonder if maybe I should have shown it to the owner before posting here  >:D

Greg - I don't mind the carving, it's all the planning and then finishing details that are a pain for me.

Hey, Cam
Don't worry about it! I can't wait to see it for real! Damn, you have out done yourself again!! You've made my Dad's knife proud. Let me know when I can come pick it up.

Holy wow!  That's nice.  I'd love to have a knife and sheath like that with my name.  Wait, wasn't fishhead401 making swords?  Only problem with a longer name, you know!
