Oooooweeeee, Knapper. I sure hope you got my address for that one. That's a real teaser. If the rest of the bow looks as good that part....mmmmmm.

FishFinder....I was really joking, but usually when you hear these "it broke" stories, that extra inch is a big contributing factor.

Back in the game. ;D This one was next in line so it's up. This fine Glue up is compliments of Brian Melton,(vinemaplebows). He sent this to me a few months ago to see what I think. It is three layers of hickory and a few on here know I like hickory for BBQing >:D. Well not this one, it is quick so far and maybe,, I can push that draw limit a little more since it's hickory and it's shooting about 70#@ 28" tonight.

Thanks, Bub. Here's a little tip, in case some of you guys haven't tried it. This bow has three layers glued together with Tight Bond. I was having trouble with the top limb lining up, it wanted to roll to the left at full draw. After taking as much wood off the right to bring it back over it still wasn't enough. Since I didn't want to whack the tiller out and have to lighten the poundage I thought I'd try something after talking to Brian.

 I did what I do when I talk someone out of a nice Bear recurve that has twisted limbs when I tell them it is worthless and just a Wallhanger :D. I put the lower limb in the vice and heated the upper limb with the heat gun, GENTLY. ;) I'd heat it till it felt warm to the touch and quit and then hold the limb twisted in the direction I wanted. I let it cool down and did this three times and now both limbs are lining up nicely.

 Tight Bond can take some heat. Someone might want to experiment and see how much, it might open up some new horizons. I'm not talking about what the manufactor says, but how it really reacts to heat.

Finally got my trade bow finished.  All I'm saying is it's 65" long  :-X  I'm going to give it a test run next week at the classic.  If it holds up OK, I'll ship it as soon as I get back.

  Nice to know about the TB Eddie.   That's a sweet looking bow. Should make a real sweet shooter.  8)  Did you figure out what happened with the boo backed bow?

My first one blowed up, then I got spider bit,(on the right hand) Started another,had a relapse with the bite,,got a little better,got the bow shooting,fairly well,had another relapse,,now im out for a couple weeks,,I guess Ill get finished one day!!  Very nice bows Fellows!!!
