I also pay part of my way thru this world with a very small company I own called Avian Research and Consulting, LLP (ARC).  I recently inked a deal with our Game, Fish, & Parks Department to do nest success rate monitoring on osprey in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Of course, 98% of osprey diet is fish, so they tend to nest fairly close to water that the GF&P stocks with trout.  In order for me to "blend in" and not look like I am stalking some unsuspecting osprey couple's children, I usually dress and act like a fisherman.

So in effect, I am getting paid to go canoeing, flyfish for trout, and watch birds.

(Didja all feel that...Ol' Roy suddenly hates retirement and wants to apply for a job with me!)

It's an internship, Roy.  No pay. And you don't get to keep the fish!
