I got a couple hundred bows under my belt and I still ain't got the guts to do a cut in shelf!!!

Nice work, that full draw pic shows some great talent at tillering.  I can only imagine what kind of bows you are gonna be turning out in about a decade!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Beautifull bow all around. I would be interested to know how those working recurves hold up over time, I have never had good luck with working curves like that in hickory.

That is one of the best looking Hickory bows I have seen. I would be interested to see how the working recurves hold up for you on Hickory. I was wondering did you heat temper this bow before you  tillered it out or did you heat temper it after tillering. I really like Hickory but seem to get to much set for my likeing. May try heat tempering on the next one. Dean

I floor tillered the bow and then heat treated it.  It took abou 1" of set. The trick to building hickory bows is to get the wood very dry (7-6% MC). I heat temper all my hickory bows now and would recomend doing the same, makes em snappy!

Cody; I was impressed the first time I met you and am more so now. That is one, very beautifull bow, right down to the curves and finish. I love it and I hate working hickory. Your attention to detail is excellent and I hope to see you at the Classic again this year.
