Well, I have been fixing up some of my "not-so-hot" bows lately, so I figured I would try my had at fixing up my very first good selfbow, an overlong deflexed bow with heavy handshock and an annoying rest. So, I piked it, recurved the tips (which was alot of fun trying to get around all the twists in the bottom limb
), removed the rest and reshaped the handle, applied a wild walnut stain, and retillered it. So here it is, 66" long, 65" from side nock to sidenock, around 60# at 26". It is now quite the screamer and arrow flinger; very stable and hard hitting- and quite accurate
.
