First Cane Arrows

These are Georgia cane.  Two sets of two.  I combined modern and primitive styles here.  Nocks and feltching are wrapped w/sinew from my kill this fall, and sealed w/ my new pitch sealer, which I like a lot, the stuff works great.  The points are duplex nails w/ 357/M1 casings for extra weight.  These arrows are champion!!  They fly great and are supper accurate out of my self bow from the Christmas Exchange, all I've shot since mid-January.  I cut the two "bannana" cut w/ scissors and a cardboard pattern, will probably cut the others also.  Weight, the two w/ 357/nickle casings, 480 grains (+/-) and the two w/M1/brass casings are 500 grains (+/-).

If pink fletching bothers you, look @ the last pic, 5 arrows fletched w/ pink, see if you can find them, bet you can, that's why I like pink feathers.

The ones you sent me for the christmas trade work great and are real easy to find I hardly even need the aerrow dog now a days cept when I use my barred turkey feather arrows. Ron

Steve chartruse and in the fall it is amazing how they can disappear. ;D

I have more problem in the spring w/ the trout lilly and the pink dutchmans breeches.  You must be gettin' under the leaves.  I've found arrows 3 inches under the snow when the sun is out because I could see the pink.

Thanks for the reply bsr.  I like to shoot @ a lot of different stuff from different ranges and angles...can you tell?  There is another small target behind me in the pic that I shoot back @ so I don't have to walk so much w/o shooting.   ;) dpgratz

HB, hawks, knives, an occational blowdart.  YUP.

For all you guys who've been around the campfire for awhile, my rat/squirrel box trap is there by the round.  I had to stop setting it, kept catching birds.  Going camping next week, planning on taking it with.  dpg

I got about 30 in a trade w/ hillbilly61.  I don't have a source, but many on here do.  Welcome to PA and thanks for relying.  :), dpgratz
