Latest Osage Bow
« on: July 13, 2012, 05:48:47 pm »
Well folks, I'm back in the game again!
Due to a move and work being so busy lately, I have had little time to make shavings. Now that I have my workshop set up in the basement, I should be in business.  Here is my latest: Osage, around 43# @ 28". 1 1/5" at the fades tapering to 7/16" tips. The handle is angled so it is center shot without cutting into the bow. Surprised at how zippy it is for its weight, sending my 500 gr. arrows down range in a hurry. She has about 1/4" reflex when just unstrung then pops up to 1" at rest. Purpleheart overlays with 10 coats of oil. Thanks for looking,

                                                      Cody

Wow! I wouldn't believe that color came out of the natural wood before I knew about Osage. Awesome work on that, looks like fun.

That is one shiny stick. You could use it to check for deer behind you :P

Seriously though, nice tiller, interesting handle work.  I like it.

Very nice job, Cody. Love that purple heart with that golden wood!!
