Knoty-N-Nice
« on: July 14, 2012, 10:06:37 am »
Just finished this Osage bow from some wood I harvested almost 2yrs ago. It was a skinny stave, but had nice growth rings and some propeller. Took a while to work around all the knots and get the tiller but I'm pleased with the results. Came in at 64" ntn, 63@29"

Tricky stick with that funny dip, nice job. Good to see a long draw for a change.

Yeh, I was going by the 29" you quoted... most guys here draw about 12.5"  >:D  ;)

Well, not all my bows have been 64" or longer, so I've worked at hitting a consistant 29 1/2" draw for my selfbows, not too comfortable much shorter than that

Yeah well, I draw a full bloody 14 inches to the back of my ear, Del!  Stinker!

Oh you knotty, knotty little bow, how I wanna hold you and shoot you!  You sure old-schooled that stick.
