Who wants the other half of this?
« on: July 16, 2012, 01:00:33 am »
Cut this early spring. Been dealing me fits. I'm thiunking this might be a Pat bow. I worked on it for another 2 hours today. Here's the sister.
I found many years ago that it is much easier and more rewarding working with those that don't know anything than those that know it all.

haha Pat you were on that pretty quickly.  :)  As an administrator to this site, do you a warning beep any time someone says "Pat" and "bow" in the same sentence?  ;)

The work piece has been cut to 69" so plenty of room to work with. Cut this elm from the slope running down to the creek from my back yard.
Guess I was in no shape to post pics last night.

Here's a better pic of the side profile. Bottom of the limb has a natural deflex.

I'm retired and on Social Security. Funds are always tight but I have an abundance of wood available, especially elm. Anyone willing to pay shipping cost, the stave is my donation to a good cause.
