Yew Warbow - 130-140# question.

I see about 30 rpi. I wouldn't try pushing this stave to 130 -140#. Just MHO. I have a couple of yew staves with 50 -60 rpi, that I think might make that sort of weight. However, yew is amazing wood. Very elastic. There's only one way to find out... give it a go!

If you can't make 140 with that stave there is something wrong, just don't make it too long and make sure it's seasoned enough.

Yes,140# is too large and difficult to pull, but 130# would be better. OK, now I'm waiting to take off a little moisture in the tree and started working.

This lightly ... I started working on this warbow. These are still rough dimensions and square belly. Will continue working after a while. Expect a sequel.
