Christmas carver
« on: November 26, 2012, 02:18:02 pm »
My cousin and I started talkin about stone work over the turkey meal and he got interested. One thing led to another and he asked if I could. I said sure, give me some details. We settled on this knife and I made a simple sheath for it.

Burlington chert with elk antler handle, set with pine pitch and sinew. The leather work has braintan covering commercial leather.

Thanks for looking!

Stringman, that's a beauty you made there. No doubts that it could carve a turkey or ham during the holidays. Rick B
