This is an osage hunting bow, I posted some time ago on PP. So, I apologize if some of you guys get bored.

The stave was very clean, only two little knots with no problems. Recurves are steam bent, selfnocks no overlay, handle porc leather.
Cross section is rectangular and runs into triangular levers.  I personally like the willow leaf front profile (very long fades) and the eagle wing shape of the unbraced side profile.
This bow is a really hard and fast shooter.

w/d fades:           40/15mm

Arrows for this bow are made of bamboo shafts, nock horn inlay, grey goose feathers, trade points, sinew bindings.

Lovely, beautiful. My favourite kind of flatbow. Timeless. I'm going to build my osage bow in that way. :-)

Oh my, that is a beautiful bow! Was the wood that dark when you made it or did you take the pics some time after? Also I really like the look of the longer fades. Reminds me of the old American longbows of the 30s and 40s. That bow is classic  :o

Yesssirree no backing and ready to shoot.Your likings of your bow are the same as mine.I've heard the profile of your bow called a 5 curve but there is'nt very much set back in your handle on account of your longer fades it's just there and that's it.Nice looking smooth transition look at full draw.I can believe it packs a whollup when it hits home.That bows' ready for a 40 yard moose shot.Classical beauty.Very nice job.

thats a beautifull and well made bow,  80#.....you could hunt rhinos with that,,,,or pierce some serious armour....you must be stronger than me

I'll bet that would cut through even a politician's tough hide :laugh:
Great looking bow, it's really working hard, nice to see a full length draw too.
Don't think any critters are going to argue with that bad boy.
