What Did You Do Today?

G, it's a great feeling still being healthy at 75. Lots of our friends, some older, some younger aren't so lucky. Like I said looking forward to the next 25.  :OK

Eric Krewson:
If one lives alone, you may have a tendency to let cosmetic things like house upkeep slide because you are the only one that sees it. After 23 years in this house, I decided to do some catch up to bring my house's appearance up to snuff. I started with the landscaping, then kitchen and deck painting. I did all of the initial painting and landscaping for years but in my old age I hired someone to do the work, money well spent.

I never go in and out of the front door and always use the garage as does everyone else, consequently this part of the house tends to be a haven for spiders, nesting birds and mildew.

Yesterday I reached a level of disgust with the mess and went to work with Clorox, soap, a long-handled brush and a pressure washer, I made the entrance and stairs look new again.

The before and after pictures, I had cleaned most of the stairs before I took the picture but you can get an idea of how bad they looked.

Tomatoes are coming on here and we have both Roma and Jet Star varieties. The wife cooked and canned salsa the other day and put up 5 pints. Today she froze 5 quarts of tomatoes to give us some counter space.
I grilled some fresh zucchini with a steak for supper. Bugs are getting into the squash so that will be the end of it soon.
So it goes...

YosemiteBen:

At 65$ a year! I have not bought a fishin license in years.
