Marie Maybe if you get in this trade next year and with Sadie maybe we can start seeing some of the softer side of bow making. We are just a bunch of cave men that just grunt scrape wood and play with snakes  :o ::)  Of coarse if you, Lulyn, Sadie. Miss Joanie and a few others get to making bows. us guys might have to get out and cut more trees. ::) :'(

aha, now yr figuring it out Keenan! why would us gals go and get all dirty, sweaty and risk breaking a nail when, with a wink and a smile, you fellas will do it for us? >:D

Your not done yet Marty? Slow poke!

Yeah, I'm with you Pappy.  Just trying to think of what to build.  My recipient seems to like everything.  Now, I'm forced to come up with something on my own, maybe a bit unique.  Gotta pull on the 'ol creative side of the brain.

Soy, i'm interested in that one too! I got the stave from a guy who wanted to build a bow but never did, The stave was on top of his shed for 8 years and completely black. When i cut an end off the rings were shocking, perfect and about 1/8 to 3/16" thick. The back was so badly checked i had to go down about 4 growth rings which didn't leave me with much wood, we'll see what happens.
