How do you incorporate snakeskin into a sheath?

I made this sheath with some snake leather for the classic raffle table.





I reckon you could do the same with snake rawhide.

Thanks Stringman for the pic.  That gives me some ideas.

I am thinking of using deer rawhide but I am worried it is a bit thin for a sheath.  I would use the back or neck part that is thickest but it still seems pretty thin.
