Another Blackthorn
« on: August 10, 2013, 01:29:06 pm »
Nice Blackthorn stave, but with a little deflex kink just below the handle. I made it for someone to reciprocate for a real nice hatchet he gave me a while ago.

68", 72#@30", 25 ounces mass. The string is made from linen and weighs 300 grains. The handle is dyed with walnut pods and the arrow is stained with the boiling. linseed oil finish.

Awesome bow dude!  Like the all natural materials and look.  Really nice!

Man I like those bows.  Looks super primitive.  Ever made one out of maple?  Just cut a bit of it the other day.
