My Hunting Arrows

 I have seen some beautiful arrows here on PA and wanted to post some of my own. They are Douglas Fir and weigh mid to low 600's. Used secondary turkey wing feathers in an Eastern Two Fletch tied with deer back sinew covered with pitch varnish. Points are heat treated chert mounted with pine pitch and tied with sinew and covered with pitch varnish. Used Copenhagen to stain shafts and lard to seal them. Hope to make meat with them this season. Thanks for looking...

 Wow guys! Thanks for all the fine comments. Means a lot. CherokeeKC, a man buy the name of Dave Swetmon from Georgia knapped the points for me. He made me 13 that weighed within 20grns of each other.

Very nicely done sir!!!! really like the way the heads are made/knapped. Especially the fact that they are well ridged, with a fine micro on the edges. You gonna be real surprised at the size of the hole they cut. Think you will also like the damage from the ogive shape on the cutting edge, the arrows and heads are as good as it gets, period.

  Thank you guys so much for the responses. Yea Rich, I haven't killed a deer with stone yet and have devoted the last 3 seasons trying to accomplish this. I had some close but not just the right angle for a good clean shot. I'm interested to see how effective these points will be. If and when it happens I will be sure to post.
