Cool video, nice bow porn,  :). Looks darn fun.

You know the really sick thing? This was Cam's first time shooting a warbow (and one he made himself), and he easily out shot me for longest cast and closest to the mark. Jerk!  :o ::) Some guys are just naturals I guess.

ErictheViking:
Wonder if the French-Canadians get nervous when they see you shooting >:D

As a side note, I was shooting with Joe Gibbs of the EWBS the other day, and he believes Elm makes the best backing for a laminated warbow - something I've not heard before.  He says the usual hickory backings are poor when draw weights reach 100# or so compared to Elm.  He had a stunning Lemonwood, Purpleheart and Elm 103# bow that I had a go with and it was the smoothest, quietest warbow I've ever shot.  Absolutely breathtaking.

No idea on the bamboo. Don't use it at all anymore for anything, and I've never used it on a warbow as a backing. I don't like it as a material and I also don't like the way it looks on a warbow... too far from appropriate available material for an English warbow IMHO.
