First recurve?

Well here she is hickory 62" ntn she pulls 55 # at 28. Osage tips and some osage strips on the back of curves and handle. Fake snake pattern on back with a sew on leather handle. Also made my string. Hope it is worthy of this page. Afraid to post but here goes nothing.
Did the Native Americans think about all this that much or just do it?

yup Nice bow. Those curves came out looking nice.
I found many years ago that it is much easier and more rewarding working with those that don't know anything than those that know it all.
