ERC warbow?
« on: January 28, 2014, 04:19:47 pm »
So as far as I have been able to tell... ERC seems to be yew's weaker cousin.
I know they are not actually related.
However, I happen to have 4 drop dead perfect staves of ERC from a tree nearly 8" in diameter, knot free.
All 80" long.
I want to make a warbow.
Doable?

Marc St. Louis posted a fantastic erc warbow a while back. I would shoot him a PM if I were you. It will probably have to be quite large dimensions to reach warbow weight.

the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."
