Thanks for the kind words everyone. I appreciate it!

As mentioned, this bow is going to a good buddy of mine who is a custom knife maker. His name is Greg Lightfoot, and he lives in Kitscoty, Alberta. He makes beautiful knives, and I'm trading him this bow for a custom folder. I'm driving out to his place (3 hrs) for a visit, some beer drinking, and to do some shooting. Can't wait to see what he thinks!

I hope I don't get in trouble for this, but he makes knives and not bows, so check out his website: lightfootknives.com

Were you going to snakeskin it originally? That may have been too much awesome overload.

Very nice Adam.  I've never made a recurve with tropical wood although I started on one many years ago, just never got around to finishing it.

VERY nice work!  The fit and finish of that bow is great.  I appreciate your attention to detail, and the full draw looks great.

Sorry, Pat... just saw this post. Yes, I was going to back it with SSs. Changed my mind at the last minute, but I just finished another one of these bows yesterday, and it already has WDB SSs. The nocks are a bit different, and it's going to look totally sweet when it's done! I'll post some pics when she's all polished up.

Awesome all around!  How did you do that splice?

I have a piece of ipe and maple on my bench now.  I was thinking elb or hill style flat bow.  Hmmmmmmm. Decisions decisions.
