Hey fellas,
going to have to go back to realistic wildlife woodcarving. Figure most of ya seen enough of my bows anyway. Here's some pictures but they are pics of pics before I had a digital camera and computer so the quality of the little collages aren't the best. If any of ya want some closer pics I'll try to get them for you. 2 sets of pics.....see ya fellas.

Thanks for the comments fellas..... the jumping whitetail buck took a year to make, the lifesized strutting turkey was about 2 months (I think) and one my collectors asked for a lifesized bald eagle perched with a 26" pike in her talons and feeding thats gonna be between 2-3 months I think. No it aint for everybody but it beats trying to find a timeclock job when you are pushing 70. I'm greatfull that I can do this to off-set the major SS check every month ::)

Madcrow; I cant carve the things you do so dont let my crap take nothin away from yours. I admire what you have posted. Just posted so you fellas know I aint gone belly-up, just doin the old job to make a little money.

Wow!  Those are very detailed carvings.  I can't imagine the time and effort involved in creating one.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Incredible work, Rich. I knew you were an artist from seeing your bows but this goes to another lever or two maybe.  ;)

You're a man of many talents.  Is there anything you can't do with wood?  Thanks for posting those pictures.

Incredible work Rich. What kind of wood do you use for the carvings?
I found many years ago that it is much easier and more rewarding working with those that don't know anything than those that know it all.
