Now, that's a "sows ear to silk purse" bow.  Nice work Pat.  Those carp skins look great.  Someone will be proud to have that one.

Fabulous work all around.  I like the stories to go with both bows too.  Makes them even more interesting.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys.  I appreciate the kind words.

Very nice Pat, looks like a serious hunting bow. Also like the profile on the shorty resting there on those blocks, can't wait to see that one done as well.

Thank you, everyone. I knew something good would come from the stave when Josh gave it to me. It's history alone was hard to compete with.
BB, Gidget will be braced backwards to my fistmele at least when I put the sinew down. I've got big expectations for her.
Eddie, I think I'll be at Chris' next weekend(Wade might show up) and will be hunting with this bow some. Last weekend I won a Remington 770 bolt action in .270 cal at a fund raiser. It has been bore sited but I will zero it in at Chris' and try to christen it.  ;)
Carp skins have become one of my favorite decorations and these skins that Pearlie gave me really set the bow off.

Yup, great bow, I like the idea of the at check going right through. Just goes to show what's possible.
