I'm gonna try to start adding sinew to Gidget tomorrow. It's gonna be a nasty, rainy day.  ;D

Great great bow !!
love it. I keep coming back to see the pictures
the wood, the story behind, the carp skins (!)... even the checks !!
Not shure about lemonwood tips but it's a super bow anyway

I really like that bow.  Nice Job!
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Did you use some filler to make the checks turn black?

I'm working on a a similarly checked stave right now.

Those checks were so old they were black to begin with. All I did is add super glue until they filled. I did the filling  little at a time so the glue wouldn't run through.

Very nice bow Pat. I've always been a fan of checked wood bows, especially since most of my wood is like that. Good job. God Bless

Wow!!! I'm totally stoked.  Pat sent me a message informing me that I should expect a package.  Sure enough a few days later my wife calls to tell me I received a package.  Being her usual ornery self, she would not give me any more details than that.  After a week of teasing, she finally sent me a pic.  It was island girl!  We finally got nice enough weather to try her out and snap a couple pics.  She shoots hard, fast and right where I look.  Thank you so much Pat!  My photographer (middle daughter)  wanted to try it out as well.  She had a little trouble hitting full draw.  Lol!  Thanks again Pat!  She's a beauty!  Josh
