Pictures from bass-pro-shops archery museum! (pic heavy)

Well I was able to make a quick trip through the archery museum on Sunday. Couldn't spend a lot of time there because I was with some family from out of town. Some are not the best but...

I know just a little about some of  them. If you want to know something, I'll try to help. Patrick
Sinew backed yew, I think!
Hickman experimental bow!
Allen prototype compound bow!

Geronimo bow is made of Osage with a sinew string. It has beautiful designs carved into the belly (I think) the whole bow is about 48 inches max. It is a smooth looking as glass without any tool marks that I could see. It's about an inch wide with tips about 3/8 wide. These measurements are just a guess by me.

Once an Eagle Scout, always an Eagle Scout!

Missouri, where all the best wood is! Well maybe not the straightest!

Building a bow has been the most rewarding, peaceful, and frustrating things I have ever made with my own two hands!

You're welcome guy's! Wish they were better all I had was my phone. In this case seeing it in person is way better than the pictures. Patrick

Definitely need to make a road trip down Springfield way.  Thanks for posting!

Like I said it's way better in person and there are several other displays I didn't get pictures of. I hope everyone can see this some day! There are several bows that are broken. Some of which say they were pushing design limits. You all are welcome! Patrick

Yeah it's awesome! I've spent a lot of time studding that one. It's beautiful in person. Patrick

That Geronimo bow looks very nicely made. Is it a reflex deflex? Nice photos. Thanks for sharing!
