I love ipe! And backed with a creamy hickory and polished with the deap redness of ipe and a high mirror gloss, oh baby. And that perry reflex you're putting in is just gonna add to its sexiness. I look forward to seeing it finished.

And now onto tillering. My least favorite part.  >:D the billets have a bit of natural deflex. I'm going to heat treat a bit more in once it is tillered. Lots of wigggles. It is bending pretty good already.

Lookin' good guys.  Excited  to see everyone's progress.     Im gonna ask for some more opinions. I gave it another heat treatment, and gained some poundage to work with.  It was shooting pretty good before, and now It shoots real nice At 26". Its 51@27 right now, going to 28. Been working on removing  the top limb twist, got it more under control. Turns out my earlier attempts i was scraping the wrong side, making it worse. I got a better balance between top and bottom limb, with the bottom limb a good amount stiffer at full draw. What does everyone think? Any more scrapes or take it to 28?

My right hand drawing is not so great

a little out of focus

This is not necessary but, were I to do any more tiller adjustment id go mid limb upper limb. But again, not needed. You could heat the upper and lower third of tje upper limb to make the middle come around some... could be limb twist though im seeing.

Yeah sleek, the last scrapes I took were mid limb on the upper.  Perhaps I'll do a few more.

Not more than 5-7 scrapes depending on how hard you scrape.

I'm with you guy's on the upper mid limb. But in the second full draw pic from the other side, it doesn't look too bad to me. Your right it could be the twist. Looking forward to seeing that one finished up! That will be a sweet shooter for sure! Patrick

Well here is my progress.  Its vine maple all natural reflex. Its a thumper.  This is the most reflexed bow I have tillered yet. It started with about 7.5" and is still holding 3.5 right after shooting. Any input is welcome

Looking good steelslinger!

Hunterbob, vine maple is pretty awesome stuff. The only bad thing I could find was that it didn't like a scraper.

Can't wait to see the finished results! Patrick
