Osage static with bendy handle (No. 59)
« on: February 21, 2015, 03:01:27 pm »
Here is a static with short narrow levers and a front profile I like very much. It's a slightly bendy handle; grip is buckskin wrap in two layers to get the bulbous shape; tips are buffalo
The bow is 60” long and pulls 65/28”, its a pleasure to shoot.

The sunshine turns that Osage to liquid gold. Stunning! :)

Wow Simon... Such beauty! Did you do any dye to color the wood or was it that color, so rich. Thank you for all those close photos... I love to stare at your work. Well done Sir! Jim

Looks like some thin ringed yet good early to late wood ratio osage, the kind that really makes nice shooting durable bows. You did a knock out job on it Simon, beautiful bow.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

VERY NICE!
