Beautiful. Is it, the whole antler, or is it just the hard outer part? Also how do you tiller an antler?

Actually, Elk was long thought to be the same species as red deer. They share a common recent ancestor (but more with eastern asian red deer), just like grizzly and brown bear, and a bunch of other species that are shared among the two continents such as reindeer.
So you could get yourself some stag antlers. If you go to northern lapland, you can tons of shed reindeer antlers in early spring. Should make an antler bow as well.
