Bird and Trout in W2

(1/3) > >>

4est Trekker:
Howdy, all.  Here's a little bird and trout in a brute de forge style I forged from 3/8" W2 round stock.  I forged completely to shape but had to touch up the edge radius and tang butt on the belt grinder.  It's 6" in overall length, has a 2.5" blade, is 1/8" thick at the ricasso,  and has a distal taper toward the tip and tang.  I hand-sanded to 150 and followed it up with a Scotch-Brite pad.  It's fitted with recessed Asian water buffalo horn scales affixed with piened brass pins and flared copper tubes.  I added a hand-turned osage button to the the lanyard to function similar to the ring on a ringed bird and trout.  Thanks for looking!
