couple of Bowmo flint points

got up early. have this terrible head cold, needed to feel better so i grabbed up a small piece of quartzite type rock. made a small point. its difficult to work. then i seen a nice tan flint /chert type spall. hmmm i thought now that looks pretty. had a bulb on one side so i had to thin it out first , then knap it till i got the cortex off, or most of it, then knap it to a leaf blade, then sharpen up the edges and notch it with a flaker.just a couple 5 min. jobs here. o.k. o.k. 10 minutes. lol Tony

i got this box of stone in the mail. i call it Bowmo flint :) Tony

Nice! I've been wanting to make a start at learning ABO but I got chicken fever I guess.

Nice! The harder to work stone is Hixton and the tan stuff is Pedernales.
